Me

I'm a Chef and writer who has an immense passion for what I do. I tend to rant and ramble on a variety of subjects, hence the title of this blog. The "in-training" part of the title comes from my belief that no matter how experienced a chef may be, he or she should always be training him- or herself and constantly striving to become better.

Stuff

So I spent the past two mornings packing up my things. I learned that my tiny little pontiac can hold a lot of stuff in its trunk. 4 big meat boxes, a box containing a computer monitor, a small computer stand, a couple of smaller boxes, and a bag full of clothing. I'll be sure to post pics of my car once it's all packed up for anybody interested (even though I still have doubts that people even read this piece of shit blog. Haha)

I went to the ACF Harrisburg meeting at the Hotel Hershey on Monday night. The food was delicious and the presentation by Chef Fowler and Chef Harris was awesome (molecular gastronomy stuff, in case you're curious). I sat next to Chef Gladysz, the executive chef of the hotel, and enjoyed listening to him joke around with the interns that were also at the table. I also got to talk to Chef Peffley, one of my greatest mentors and one of my favorite teachers of all time.... Can you tell that I'm kissing as yet? Haha.... In all seriousness, I really enjoyed myself at the meeting and especially enjoyed to being able to talk to Chef Peffley. He was my greatest motivation for doing well in school, and I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for him and Chef Corle pushing me to do my best.

So there really isn't much else for me to say right now. I leave for Charlotte in 5 days and start my junior year at jWU on 9/11. Oh! I do have an interview that I need to schedule once I get to Charlotte. I'm excited about that :) I'll give more info if I get the job. Don't wanna jinx anything :p

Well, that's all. Ttfn!

I just realized that I never posted pictures of my car when it was all packed up... oh well... Too late to fix that now... Especially considering that I didn't take any pictures
