Me

My photo
I'm a Chef and writer who has an immense passion for what I do. I tend to rant and ramble on a variety of subjects, hence the title of this blog. The "in-training" part of the title comes from my belief that no matter how experienced a chef may be, he or she should always be training him- or herself and constantly striving to become better.

epic night

So tonight at work we got super busy. It reminded me of why I love what I do so much. The stress, the pressure, the adrenaline rush and then the amazing feeling of a job well done. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but nothing can compare to the feeling you get after completing a busy service. Honestly, I think that's why so many chefs drink or do drugs. They're trying to recreate that feeling. Those who lose the ability to get that feeling go into a downward spiral and eventually end up burning out way before they should have. Lucky for me, I'm still young and I still get the rush from finishing a busy service. I love what I do :)
